Notices of Error Resolution and Requests for Information Regarding Consumer Mortgage Loans
The following outlines the Error Resolution and Information Request Procedures for your consumer closed-end mortgage loan at The Bank of Missouri.
When you write to The Bank of Missouri to ask for information or to complain about certain errors, we have five days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and federal holidays i.e., business days) to acknowledge your letter. Then generally, we have 30 to 45 business days to fix the error or send you the information you requested. For certain errors related to foreclosure, we will respond prior to the date of any foreclosure sale. If we believe there is no error, we will explain in writing why. And if we cannot find the information you want, we will explain why the information isn't available.
These types of errors pertain to the servicing (post-closing) of your loan and may include but are not limited to:
- Errors regarding acceptance and timely crediting of your loan payment
- Failure to pay charges for your escrow account
- Improper or unreasonable fees charged to your loan
- Failure to provide an accurate payoff statement
- Errors relating to the transfer of your account to a new servicer
- Errors relating to foreclosure proceedings
